Welcome to our website, we have been running Tang Soo Do classes in the Cambridgeshire area for the last 30 years and would like to share some of our experience with you.  Our school name 'Ryu Pa' can be simply translated as 'Style' but has a deeper meaning which is 'river runs down divided'.  This relates to a natural evolution of which the Martial Artist will discover through a journey of improvement in technique, skill and understanding.  Grandmaster Hwang Kee (the Founder of Tang Soo Do) is quoted as saying 'it is a necessary phenomena for the Arts to develop in the tradition of Ryu Pa'.

Our Instructors are experienced Martial Artists and are dedicated to giving all students first calss tuition.  We are CRB checked through the Traditional Tang Soo Do Association and are constantly seeking to improve our teaching methods.  The class training involves strength, stamina, speed and flexibility exercises but we also concentrate largely on developing good technique in order to give the students the best opportunity to become accomplished Martial Artists. 

There are opportunities to enter competitions up to International level through our links with other Tang Soo Do Organizations in England, Wales, Scotland, Holland, Germany and the USA.  Additional training through events such as Seminars and Demonstrations of our Art will encourage students to better themselves and contribute to the group as a whole.

Our classes are suitable for all ages from 8 years to 60+ and are particularly suited to families with their friendly but disciplined approach.  It is possible to reach Black Belt with 4 to 5 years of dedicated training and it might then be possible to run your own classes under the guidance of the Senior Instructors.

Class fees are paid per session and are currently £4 with special family rates available
